Articularis Healthcare Group (AHG) is currently seeking a full-time Medical Records Specialist in our Augusta, GA location. This position can also be remote.

The Position:
The Medical Records Specialist assists with the management and maintenance of the medical and administrative records and ensures the records are maintained according to laws and regulations and the organization's policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for keeping medical and administrative record information confidential and protected from loss or destruction.
As a Medical Records Specialist, a typical day might look like:
- Indexing medical records
- Confirmations and verifications of benefits
- Managing incoming faxes
- Responding to medical record requests through our data bases in an accurate and timely manner
- Assists with phone calls and providing responses to related inquiries
- Interacting regularly with requesters to identify medical records needed for patient care, review, billing, or release of information
- Distributing incoming reports and correspondence and files in patient charts or presents to professional staff as needed.
This job might be for you if:
- You have an Associates degree with 2 years or any combination of education
- You have experience in a customer service-related role
- You have experience working in a medical/clinical setting
- You have a working knowledge of computers and internet access
- You have the ability to understand and follow HIPPA rules
- You have experience with medical records releases
