Infusion Nurse - RN Team Lead

Articularis Healthcare Group (AHG) is currently seeking a full-time Infusion Nurse - RN Team Lead in our Summerville, SC location. This position is expected to float to our Mount Pleasant and West Ashley locations as needed.

The Position:

You will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients in a professional and courteous manner. Additionally, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients under the direction of the manager/provider. The individual must be enthusiastic about patient care and have the ability to handle varied personalities and personal situations. Team lead be the department point person regarding patient, staff and clinical issues working to resolve and escalating as necessary.

As an Infusion Nurse - RN Team Lead, typical duties might look like:

• Responsible for assessing the patient's health as well as detect changes in symptoms, health or pain, and will need to know when action is necessary.

• Responsible for providing clinical infusion services, additionally responsible for:

• obtaining vital signs.
• assessing health of patient prior to administration of biologic medication.
• insertions and discontinuations of peripheral intravenous catheter.
• mixing/monitoring of medications, administering premeds and administering medications in response to changes in patient’s condition.
• making follow up appointments, answering telephone.
• ensuring accurate and timely documentation per company Policy and Procedures.
• cleaning equipment between patients.

• Continue a daily patient volume, although may be lightened given other assigned tasks.

• Responsible for reviewing diagnostic as well as laboratory data and report abnormal results to treating physician and/or other healthcare provider.

• Documents assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record in a accurate timely fashion.

• Assists with drug inventory management-daily inventory, ordering, monitoring of refrigerator temperatures.

• Assists with maintaining unit equipment, safety checks, cleaning and promptly reporting any issues.

• Oversees daily schedules to ensure efficient operations and staffing levels and physician supervision is provided.

• Ensures inventory delivery and notifying administrator of any delays.

• Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.

• Meet with administrator weekly concerning disposable inventory level and infusion inventory levels.

• Assist with MID operations workflows maximizing the patient experience.

• Contributes feedback on nursing performance for annual evaluations delivered by administrator.

• Ensures all workflows are completed daily – incomplete orders, clinical reviews needed and/or expiring for upcoming infusions.

• Other duties as assigned by manager.

This job might be for you if possess the following:

• Associates Degree.
• RN Degree
• Active - State Nursing License.
• 4 years’ experience working in a healthcare facility.
• 2 years’ experience working with medical payers including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance.
• 2 years experience inserting IV’s.
• Working knowledge of electronic medical record systems. Epic, WeInfuse.
• Working knowledge of CPT & ICD-10 coding practices.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• BLS Certification.
• 3 years Rheumatology experience.
• 4 years Infusion experience.
• NextGen, Epic, We Infuse.
