Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and test commercial plumbing systems including water supply lines, drainage systems, fixtures, and equipment
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications
- Lay out and install piping systems using appropriate tools and techniques (copper, PVC, cast iron, PEX, etc.)
- Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues in existing commercial plumbing systems
- Adhere strictly to local and state plumbing codes and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Assist in training and mentoring apprentices as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Operate tools and equipment safely and effectively
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3–5 years of verifiable experience in commercial plumbing
- Valid Florida plumbing license preferred (or working toward licensure)
- Familiarity with relevant tools, equipment, and plumbing systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
- Strong knowledge of Florida plumbing code and OSHA safety standards
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
- Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Experience with medical gas systems, grease interceptors, or backflow prevention.
