We are seeking a part-time Overnight Care Partner IV to join our Memory Care Department. In this role, you’ll support the Memory Care Community with caregiving and housekeeping needs.
I. General Purpose of the Job
This position is responsible for assisting Medication Technician in both tsections with coverage for breaks, assigned tasks, and/or resident needs. This includes, but is not limited to, laundry, housekeeping, caregiving, meals, and activities. This position works collaboratively with all other Memory Care Community staff on duty, family members, and volunteers to ensure that all resident needs are being met in a person-centered, relationship-based manner.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Relieve the Medication Technician for breaks.
- Assist residents in all caregiving and document accordingly in the service plan.
- Perform assigned housekeeping and laundry tasks daily as assigned and complete the task list daily
- Set up tables and non-perishable items for breakfast and assist in breakfast preparations as directed.
- Ensure sufficient stock of all supplies and notify the supervisor of items needing ordering.
- Engage and participate in activities with residents as appropriate, and identify, develop, and offer supplies for activities that can help calm agitated, anxious, or aggressive behaviors in coordination with other staff members.
- Complete all required paperwork and communication before leaving each shift.
- Identify safety hazards and emergencies and immediately report them to the supervisor.
- Demonstrate and integrate trainings into daily interventions and interaction with the residents.
General Duties and Responsibilities:

- Complete and maintain training requirements related to dementia care, program philosophy, and job description-related training
- Follow Residents’ Rights and Confidentiality policies at all times.
- Follow facility safety, emergency & disaster programs.
- Maintain the principles of infection control; be aware of all safety hazards and emergency procedures for fire and disaster that would ensure the safety of our residents.
- Assume accountability for data contained in the employees’ handbook.
- Attend all in-service training programs and complete Relias trainings as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as directed by their supervisor cooperatively.
III. Qualifications
- Must pass a California criminal background clearance.
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Possess, at minimum, a high school diploma or GED. At least six months of experience with the elderly is desirable.
- Must have good leadership and interpersonal skills.

Must be in good physical and mental condition, capable of performing assigned tasks;
- Good health must be verified by a health screening performed by a licensed physician, including a chest X-ray or intradermal test for TB.
- Must be able to hear, talk, and have a clear vision with or without corrective lenses.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, pull, kneel, and move intermittently during working hours and lift or exert force of up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to perform in a busy environment, subject to frequent interruptions, subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents and family members, subject to falls, infectious diseases, substances, odors.
- Must be willing to work beyond normal working hours, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.
