Overview
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing payroll operations with a strong focus on contract administration, payroll data accuracy, and system maintenance. This role ensures employee compensation details, contract terms, pay rates, and related payroll information are accurately entered, maintained, and processed within the payroll system. The Payroll Specialist partners closely with HR, Finance, and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, support payroll compliance, and maintain accurate employee records.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing activities, including reviewing, entering, and validating payroll data for accuracy and completeness
- Review employment agreements, compensation changes, and contract terms to ensure payroll-related information is accurately reflected within payroll systems
- Maintain payroll system records by entering new contracts, updating employee pay rates, benefits, deductions, and other compensation-related changes
- Partner with HR and Finance teams to ensure contract details align with payroll setup and company policies
- Audit payroll data and system entries to identify and resolve discrepancies, missing information, or processing errors
- Support payroll reporting, reconciliations, and payroll-related audits by maintaining accurate documentation and records
- Ensure compliance with company policies, payroll regulations, and contractual obligations
- Assist with payroll system improvements, process updates, and data integrity initiatives
