IT Operations Support Specialist

Introduction

This is an Information Technology Operations based role that supports our Chicago Assembly facility where exciting new vehicles are built for the North American consumer market. As a member of the Plant IT team, you will assist the plant in producing these vehicles by supporting the IT Infrastructure & Applications used in the manufacturing process. This position provides an excellent opportunity to apply IT skills to manufacturing and acquire experience that will enhance long-term career potential.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Server administration; Windows (2016) and/or Linux
• Familiar with Cisco routers and switches, including basic staging, troubleshooting, and cable installation
• Knowledge of Windows server and Windows Active Directory/ADFS
• Experience with VM servers (vSphere)
• Experience with Android and iOS, iPhones, iPads
• Experience with Office365 and SharePoint
• Experience with Office automation, Windows, PCs & Printers
• Experience with handheld scanners and imagers
• High School Diploma / GED
• Prior work experience in the manufacturing industry
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
  
  

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Willingness to learn Cisco software-defined architecture (SDA) troubleshooting and implementation
• Any plant floor automation experience (Control systems, PLCs, etc.)
• PowerShell scripting
• Bachelor's Degree
  
  

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for IT Applications, Infrastructure, operating systems, and end-user productivity tools to plant business customers
• Interface with corporate IT and business owners to prioritize improvement efforts
• Support Plant Floor Systems and Corporate teams in resolving incidents
• Provide triage and execute business continuity plans
• Support escalations and provide hands-on assistance to support teams
• Focus on the integration and long-term maintenance of applications and hardware
• Assist site IT manager with managing assignments and workload
• Develop, maintain, and share accurate support documentation
• Support local network equipment in a Cisco-based environment
• Support local servers across both physical and virtual environments in a Windows and Linux-based ecosystem
• Support Factory of Tomorrow deployments and expansion efforts utilizing IIOT, iOS, software-defined network, mobile, and Android-based equipment
