Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1-2 years of GIS experience (school or work-related).
- Ability to acquire a thorough working knowledge of the company’s business applications.
- Understanding of material, equipment, and apparatus used in the work.
- Knowledge of the Utilities’ Transmission and Distribution systems.
- Valid driver’s license to operate motor vehicles in the state of New Jersey.
- Computer skills in MS Office and other Windows applications.
- Prior work experience at client or in the client's industry.
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
- Experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD.
- Experience working in a union environment.
- Fieldwork experience using personal vehicle.
- Maintain the GIS connected model with information from various sources.
- Perform analysis or queries to assemble data and prepare reports, charts, and maps.
- Produce standard prints and ad-hoc plots for field requests.
- Maintain service point data and resolve conflicting data issues.
- Perform GIS work related to major projects such as facility relocations and new business.
- Operate automated office equipment and perform manual or computer-aided drafting.
- Assist other employees in plant work, in the field, or in the office.
