Installation Project Manager – ETP Artcraft Awning
The Role in a Nutshell
As the Installation Project Manager for the Artcraft Awning division of ETP, you own the final, most critical phase of the lifecycle: the physical installation. Once the awning or curtain is manufactured, you take the baton and lead the project to completion. You will manage the installation schedule, lead a dedicated field crew, and serve as the main point of contact for the customer on-site. This is a high-visibility, hands-on role requiring strong construction know-how and leadership to ensure every job is completed safely, correctly, and to the customer's satisfaction.
Compensation: $55,000 / year
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Field Management: Own the installation process for custom awnings and curtains from the moment they leave the shop until the customer signs off on the completed job.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and schedule a dedicated team of 2 Awning Installers. Provide clear daily direction and on-site troubleshooting.
- On-Site Customer Service: Act as the professional, front-facing representative of Artcraft Awning. Manage customer expectations on-site, address inquiries, and secure final project sign-off.
- Project Logistics & Scheduling: Manage the weekly installation schedule, ensuring tools, hardware, and manpower are perfectly aligned for daily field efficiency.
Technical Requirements & Skills (The Core Need)
- Advanced Tool Proficiency: Deep, hands-on experience with power tools is non-negotiable. You must be completely fluent with drills, impacts, oscillators, grinders, and reciprocating saws.
- Structural & Fastener Knowledge: A mastery of substrates and anchoring systems. You must instinctively know the correct fasteners and methods required to securely attach heavy awnings/curtains to wood, brick, EIFS, vinyl siding, and steel.
- Physical & Spatial Problem Solving: Ability to read technical drawings and adapt to real-world job site variables (unlevel walls, unexpected structural barriers) on the fly.
- Organization: Ability to keep multiple field projects organized, ensuring the right tools and fasteners are packed for the right job every single day.
Qualifications
- Strong background in construction, carpentry, sign installation, or a heavily related mechanical field.
- Proven experience leading or managing a small field crew.
- Excellent face-to-face customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
