Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and guiding them through check-in procedures.
- Manage appointment scheduling efficiently using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as Archy, optimizing daily patient flow.
- Verify patient insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing inquiries with transparency and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Facilitate effective communication between patients and the dental team regarding treatment plans.
- Keep current with industry standards related to HIPAA compliance, medical coding, and infection control practices.
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Archy for scheduling, billing, and record management. Training for the software will be provided.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with patients of all ages and coordinating with the dental team seamlessly.
