An Aerospace Paint Finisher prepares, coats, and finishes aircraft surfaces and parts to meet strict quality, safety, and Boeing specifications. Key responsibilities include cleaning, sanding, masking, mixing primers/paints, and applying coatings with precision spray equipment. This role demands attention to detail for corrosion control and surface finishes, adhering to safety protocols.


Key Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, strip paint, and remove corrosion from aircraft parts, components, or structures.

• Masking & Layout: Apply specialized masking tape and masking agents to protect areas not being painted, following blueprints.

• Paint Application: Mix, thin, and spray epoxy, primer, and polyurethane topcoats on interior and exterior surfaces.

• Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate spray guns, pressure tanks, and paint booths, ensuring they are cleaned and maintained.

• Quality & Inspection: Perform visual inspections, touch-ups, and polishing to ensure compliance with aerospace standards.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of materials used, work performed, and curing times.


Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience: No experience necessary, but 1 years of experience in aerospace painting preferred

• Skills: Proficiency with paint spray equipment and understanding of, or ability to learn, BAC (Boeing) or other aerospace specifications.

• Physical Ability: Ability to lift 10-35 lbs, work in confined spaces, and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

Ability to pass a respirator fit test


Typical Work Environment

• Hazardous environments requiring strict adherence to safety (respirators, PPE).
