What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Roofing Estimator/Project Manager position at ARS?
ARS, a Tecta America Company is based in Sioux Falls, SD and our core team has been serving the area for over 37 years. We specialize in commercial flat roofing, sheet metal, wall panels, standing seam roof systems and roof repairs.
The Estimator/Project Manager will be responsible for estimating and bidding projects with a complete and comprehensive review of project plans and specifications.
Operationally, the Estimator/Project Manager will be responsible for strategic planning and reviewing each project daily as well as implementing production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards.
Specific to managing projects, the PM/Estimator will be responsible for:
- Coordinating with general contractors, vendors, suppliers and customers to ensure the projects are completed from start to finish in a timely and efficient manner
- Preparing production needs, by verifying estimates, reviewing project drawings and specifications
- Identifying process improvements and resolving problems on each project as they arise
- Understanding of commercial roofing practices, codes and regulations to avoid legal challenges; enforcing regulations and recommending new procedures
Job Requirements
- General construction knowledge/Commercial roofing experience preferred
- Strong estimating and sales skills; knowledge of EDGE software helpful
- Knowledge of roof manufacturers’ system requirements and assemblies preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record is required
- Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Starting Pay - $70,000-75,000 Depending on Experience
