What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Engineer position at ARS?
ARS, a Tecta America Company Inc., has been serving the Sioux Falls area for over 37 years. We specialize in commercial flat roofing, sheet metal, wall panels, standing seam roof systems and roofing repairs. With a continuously growing work force and expanding into new areas, we are looking to hire a new employee to assist with drafting and various other responsibilities.
The CAD Engineer will provide CAD support and assist project managers in project submittals.
Job Duties:
- Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings and more complex drawings.
- Track project information and make sure all submittals are returned in a timely manner.
- Revise and update existing drawings to reflect as-built drawings.
- Review blueprints, plans, specifications and other documentation.
- Establish filing guidelines for drawings and project information to maintain up-to-date information in an organized manner.
- File warranties for projects as required.
- Other duties required per managements request.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or completion of a technical trade school in CAD, drafting or related field: or in pursuit of this degree.
- Experience using AutoCAD Suite Software
- Attention to detail a must.
- Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills.
Specialized Knowledge and Abilities:
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Excellent communication skills
- Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office.
- Able to generate layout drawings from Architectural drawings and specifications.
- Knowledgeable of standard drafting practices and procedures.
- Able to work with minimal supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record is required
- Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Starting Pay - $28.00 / Hour Depending on Experience
