What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Program Coordinator position at Arrowwood Addiction Treatment Center?
The Family Program Coordinator is responsible to act as a support system for the families of individuals admitted to Arrowwood Addiction Treatment Center. The Family Program Coordinator is responsible to act as a guide to educate families of clients challenged with a substance use or co-occurring problem. The Family Program Coordinator will educate the family on how to best support the client as they learn to modify their behavior with the intention of attaining long-term sustained sobriety.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
1. EDUCATION:
Graduated from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or health-related field.
2. EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 2 years of experience working directly with clients having substance related disorders and 2 years of group therapy experience using a variety of treatment modalities preferred.
3. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
LSW, LPC, LCDC II, LCDC III, and/or CDCA required
4. KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED AT TIME OF HIRE:

- Demonstrate strong skills for de-escalating and managing crisis
- Demonstrate a willingness to stay updated on new treatments, protocols, and research focused on family involvement in SUD, Mental health.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong skills to collaborate and challenge growth individually and as a team
5. REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong group facilitation skills, the ability to work with challenging family dynamics, and a solid understanding of addiction and recovery processes.
- Call all family members within 24-48 hours of client admission.
- Provide 1-2 weekly phone calls a week providing ongoing education/support.
- Attend a weekly group in the evenings 1x weekly and help co-lead/lead (Zoom).
- Attend weekly staffings/trainings/supervision
- Attend/plan at least 2 in person family retreats a year on the weekend
- Attend/plan at least 2 family/alumni events per year on the weekend
- Maintain constant communication with clinical team
- Lead a staffing once a week with clinical team
- Lead group with clients at minimum once a week to discuss family dynamic
- Documentation completed within 24 hours
- Attend morning report and provide in depth updates on family involvement
- Engage in online private Facebook group with families
- Provide support in family sessions when necessary
- Be flexible and able to accommodate schedules to build a strong rapport with families
- Other duties as assigned

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
