What You’ll Do
As a CNC Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll be part of our team located in Berea, OH.
You’ll get to:
Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods to improve safety, reduce scrap, improve first pass yields and throughput, and reduce costs
Research and develop new cutting technology and tooling approaches internally and with supply chain support
Specify and design new tooling or tooling improvements required to produce quality parts and troubleshoot CNC department programs and processes to resolve manufacturing throughput and quality issues
Develop and maintain documentation to include NC and CNC programs and operational drawings to give operators information to complete operations
Identify and implement corrective action to prevent recurring problems and to maintain quality, delivery schedules, and product cost
Identify design of manufacturability features on product designs to maintain lowest product cost Identify and implement continuous improvements of manufacturing processes to reduce cost and lead-time, and /or improve quality
Support equipment programmer and operator needs
Research customer specifications and develop standard operating procedures and work instructions that comply with and support AS9100 and ensure compliance with customer requirements

You also have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Metallurgy or Materials Science or equivalent experience required. Equivalent hands-on applicable experience will also be considered in lieu of a degree
3 years of process/manufacturing engineering experience, applying advanced engineering principals in a manufacturing environment. Aerospace industry experience or exposure preferred Proven ability to evaluate machines and leading capital projects
CNC Machining experience
Ability to function effectively in a team environment, effectively collaborate with other departments and work independently as well
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills (MS Office - Excel, Word, Outlook) including ERP experience
Solid analytical skills and the ability to define and brainstorm solutions to problems
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and priority shifts
Training in Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement Tools preferred
Familiarity with ISO 9000 or AS9100 quality standards preferred
