JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Associate is responsible for supporting daily facility operations through building maintenance, equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, truck loading assistance, trash hopper responsibilities, and general handyman tasks. This position helps maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform general building maintenance, including basic repairs, upkeep, and facility inspections
- Assist with equipment maintenance to help ensure machinery and tools remain safe and operational
- Complete daily preventive maintenance tasks as assigned and maintain required documented PM entries
- Help load trucks safely and efficiently
- Support material handling and movement throughout the facility
- Manage daily trash hopper responsibilities, including monitoring, emptying, and maintaining cleanliness around disposal areas
- Perform general handyman-type tasks, including minor repairs, adjustments, installations, and facility improvements
- Identify maintenance issues and report needed repairs to management -Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures -Assist with other facility and operations tasks as needed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of maintenance experience, facility support, warehouse operations, or a related field is a plus
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and general repair work preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and moving materials
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and cleanliness
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and assist in multiple areas as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift and move materials as required
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday
- Ability to work in a warehouse, production, or facility environment
- Ability to safely operate basic tools and maintenance equipment
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position works in a facility, warehouse, or production environment and may involve exposure to equipment, moving materials, trash disposal areas, and general maintenance work areas. Safety procedures and proper equipment use are required at all times.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
