The Director of Nursing is responsible for the delivery of quality nursing care for all the inpatient and outpatient units. The Director of Nursing (DON) has the authority to adjust staffing as necessary for the day, night and weekend shifts. The DON will oversee all nursing related activities including, but not limited to unit admissions, discharges, crisis intervention, seclusion/restraint, involuntary admission process, assuring programs and daily nursing functions are operating in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.

Job Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred. Previous management experience required. At least four years psychiatric nursing experience, which is the treatment and care of persons whose principal diagnosis and focus of treatment is a psychiatric disorder, the experience can include working as a staff nurse on a psychiatric inpatient unit or in an outpatient setting with individuals who have a primary psychiatric diagnosis.
