Title Safety Coordinator
Location: Charlotte, NC 28273
Hours: AM Shift
Pay Rate: $55,000-$70,000
Job Summary:
The EHS Coordinator will support the Health & Safety Specialist in implementing and maintaining workplace safety programs, compliance documentation, and training initiatives. This role is essential for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment through inspections, recordkeeping, and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine workplace inspections and complete checklist documentation under the direction of the H&S Specialist.
- Document findings for equipment and work areas; track and follow up on corrective actions from audits and inspections.
- Assist with maintaining compliance records and regulatory documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate employee training sessions; audit and maintain training logs and certifications.
- Support logistics for new hire orientations.
- Monitor PPE and safety supply inventory; initiate replenishment as needed.
- Coordinate delivery, receipt, and distribution of safety equipment and PPE.
- Ensure spill kits and other safety stations are fully stocked and functional.
- Assist in implementing established H&S programs and procedures developed by the H&S Specialist.
- Help organize safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Maintain organized H&S files, logs, and documentation.
- Prepare basic communications such as training reminders and safety notices.
- Assist with contractor visits and inspections.
- Provide general administrative support to improve efficiency and responsiveness of the H&S function.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in EHS or related administrative role.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bi-lingual (preferred)
- Basic computer skills and ability to input data into interfaces.
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Certifications:
- OSHA 10/30 Hour Certification
- First Aid/CPR Certification .
