Now Hiring: Metal Finishing Technician 1st ShiftSchedule:Monday Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PMOvertime: Potential on FridaysPay: $19 (based on experience)Position Summary:Were seeking a dedicated Metal Finishing Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for grinding, sanding, cleaning, and polishing metal parts to prepare surfaces for further processing or final finish. Ideal candidates will have a strong eye for detail, ability to work with hand and power tools, and thrive in a fast-paced production environment.Key Responsibilities:Grind, sand, clean, or polish parts to correct defects or prepare for painting or final finishSmooth metal surfaces and edgesIdentify and mark product defects (cracks, splits) for the welding teamMark workpieces with identifying informationOperate grinding and finishing equipmentSelect proper abrasives based on materials, specifications, and finish requirementsInspect finished parts for quality using measurements and templatesFollow blueprints and work instructions to determine proper processing stepsRecord production and process information on job packetsWork efficiently to meet daily production goalsMove parts between workstations using hand jacksKeep work areas clean and organized throughout and at end of shiftQualifications:Good manual dexterity and communication skillsWillingness to work overtime when scheduledAbility to work independently or as part of a teamAbility to read and follow directionsFlexibility to assist in other areas of the shop as neededHigh attention to detail and qualityWilling to train or assist less experienced coworkersReliable, punctual, and committed to full shift performanceExperience:2 years of metalwork experience, OR1-year certificate from a college or technical program, OREquivalent combination of education and experience13 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferredEducation:High school diploma or equivalent required#ARROWPandoLogic.
