Schedule: 12pm-11pm or 5pm-10pm
Pay Rate: $16.75
We are currently hiring for the above hours. Specific workdays may vary and will be discussed during the interview process. Flexible availability is preferred.
Must possess a valid Alabama Security Officer License (ASRB).
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including designated security zones, entrances, and exits to deter unauthorized access and identify potential threats.
- Manage access control systems by verifying identities, issuing passes, and maintaining logs for visitors, contractors, and employees.
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and detect suspicious behavior or security breaches.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations by following established procedures, including fire alarms, medical incidents, or security threats.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security-related events or breaches for future review and action.
- Perform background checks on new employees or contractors as part of the onboarding process to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Utilize conflict de-escalation techniques to manage disputes peacefully while maintaining safety for all parties involved.
Experience
- Proven experience in physical security roles or law enforcement is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, access control systems, and emergency response procedures.
- Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and Taser use is preferred.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and maintaining safety during physical security activities.
- Familiarity with incident report writing, conflict management strategies, and compliance with security regulations.
- Experience performing background checks and conducting loss prevention activities is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills combined with excellent communication abilities to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
