Technical Accounting Manager

About The Company

Our client is a leading global real estate investment trust that owns, operates, and develops telecommunications infrastructure primarily focusing on wireless communication towers, data centers, and other related assets. The Technical Accounting Manager will conduct research needed to advise on the financial reporting implications of new and amended commercial agreements, formulate position papers, and maintain accounting policy documentation for both the tower and managed networks businesses.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of customer contracts, leases, and vendor contracts
• Design and implement Oracle solutions that are compliant with both GAAP and internal accounting
• Ensure execution of the general accounting activities to support the needs of the business
• Enhance the effectiveness of the control framework and ensure that the SOX controls are operating
• Bridge historical and current financial information into the budgeting and forecasting process
• Ensure that the various sub-ledger support functions such as lease abstraction, lease administration, billing, credit collections, and accounts payable are effectively supporting and meeting the needs of the firm
• Support annual, quarterly, and ad hoc analyses
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• 6-10 years of experience in accounting required
• A background in public accounting preferred
• Experience as a manager required
• CPA preferred
  
  

Salary Range

$120,000-$150,000
