Our client is an independent wealth management and financial advisory firm that provides personalized financial planning and investment management services. The firm primarily caters to individuals, families, and businesses seeking tailored advice and long-term financial strategies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post adjusting journal entries and accrual estimates on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis to maintain accurate financial records
• Reconcile asset and liability general ledger accounts, analyze revenue, and expense general ledger accounts monthly
• Resolve discrepancies and provide analysis to ensure accurate reporting and assist business decisions
• Processes the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing and ensure timely and accurate financial statements
• Understand revenue flow and related accounting processes to help reconcile systems
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
• Assist with the year-end audit by preparing necessary documents and coordinating with external auditors
• Serve as backup for the AP/AR team to ensure seamless coverage is in place
• Document key accounting procedures for training new employees
• Participate in various ad-hoc projects as needed
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 5-7 years of accounting/finance experience withing financial services
• Experience focusing on monthly close, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
• CPA or Chartered Accountant preferred
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  
  

Salary Range

$120,000-$130,000
