Mechanic

Summary of Position:

Seeking an experienced diesel mechanic to repair and preventative maintenance on company’s vehicles and equipment.

Essential Duties:

• Experience working with medium duty trucks and trailer maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications (preferred)
• Experience with working on Cummins Diesel and small diesel engine with turbo.
• Experienced using all tools of the trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand and power tools)
• Valid driver’s license required.
• The ability to solve problems.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills is preferred but not needed to complete task
• The ability to work well as part of a team.
• Willing to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Basic computer skills
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Submit to a background screening (to include criminal checks, past employment, and education) and pass a drug screening.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to walk, sit, stand, bend, and stoop. May be required to lift, carry or push/pull supplies, materials, equipment and/or items weighing up to 50 pounds. Work is primarily conducted indoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Schedule:  M-F   7am – 4pm
