Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of various landscaping techniques. This role involves maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial properties through effective landscape management practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform lawn care activities including mowing, fertilizing, and aerating to promote healthy grass growth.
- Execute landscape maintenance tasks such as weeding, mulching, and planting to ensure vibrant gardens and landscapes.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for various landscaping tasks, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
- Operate excavators and other machinery for construction projects, including hardscaping installations.
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal as necessary to maintain safety and aesthetics.
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient water usage across landscaped areas.
- Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep properties accessible and safe.
- Collaborate with team members on larger projects, providing support in gardening, horticulture, and other landscape-related tasks.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge to effectively operate landscaping equipment and tools.
- Proficiency in lawn care techniques and landscape maintenance practices.
- Experience in landscaping design principles with an eye for detail.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, excavators, and construction methods related to landscaping.
- Knowledge of tree care practices including trimming and maintenance.
- Understanding of irrigation systems installation and upkeep.
- Ability to perform gardening tasks with a focus on plant health and aesthetics.
