Arrow University Training Manager


Position summary: The Arrow University Team is responsible for creating, developing and implementing training programs for the entire organization. The Training and Development Specialist will work closely operations and corporate support to research specific training topics, create, revise, and implement training for that will fit the needs, goals and vision of the company and delivers a consistent message throughout the organization. This position's role and responsibilities will primarily focus on the Service Professional Training Academy. The position of Training Manager reports to the Vice President of Arrow University.


Essential Functions

  • Comply with company and label safety procedures
  • Comply with all state and federal regulations, and company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Manage, organize, and coordinate virtual classroom training dates and facilitators schedules.
  • Facilitate and speak at training sessions for team members.
  • Participate in scheduling and conducting interviews for prospective Team Members.
  • Provide SPTA participants with developmental feedback.
  • Communicate regularly verbally and in writing with operations managers and VP's regarding progress, performance and placement of program participants.
  • Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
  • Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
  • Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on processes, changes, and other factors.
  • Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
  • Develop testing and evaluation procedures.
  • Utilize E-Learning development programs for training creation.
  • Utilize sound editing software for training narration.
  • Report issues to manager as per company policy
  • Other duties as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • English Language - Ability to write, speak, and communicate in English and ability to read and understand technical product labels.
  • Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures.
  • Learning Strategies - Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
  • Instructing - Teaching others how to do something.
  • Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others.
  • Complex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Fluency of Ideas - The ability to come up with a number of ideas about a topic (the number of ideas is important, not their quality, correctness, or creativity).
  • Computer savvy - The ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer and learn new computer programs
  • Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Compliance with Drug-free Workplace Policy
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Ability to pass and maintain any state regulatory agency required licensing/certification exams
  • Able to pass internal technical exams
  • Possess current Driver License in the state where you work, ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a driving record consistent with company standards
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in using MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Must be willing to travel, as needed
  • Present a professional appearance
  • Able to work a 40-hour (minimum) work week
  • Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed

  • Regularly required to sit for long periods of time.
  • Occasionally required to stand for long periods of time.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or crawl
  • Occasionally lift and or/ move 10 to 25 pounds

Employee will be expected to be able to travel to attend company meetings as necessary, continuing education opportunities or travel to conduct training meetings.

This potentially is a hybrid work schedule, with the ability to partially work from home while also working from a local Service Center or National Training Center. Schedule will be determined if a job offer is made.
