ARRO is seeking a Client Manager to be the trusted advisor and strategic partner for a portfolio of ARRO’s valued water/wastewater clients. You’ll serve as the bridge between client needs and ARRO’s capabilities, responsible for expanding relationships, winning work, and successfully growing ARRO’s portfolio of projects.
The Client Manager will partner with cross-functional teams and serve as the client champion to help identify opportunities, develop integrated solutions, and deliver projects with excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact between ARRO and its water/wastewater clients, accountable for client satisfaction across assigned accounts and for fostering strong and collaborative partnerships.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of each client’s goals, challenges, and decision-making processes.
- Facilitate multi-level communication between ARRO and its clients, including project managers, executive directors, and water/wastewater officials to review project progress, address concerns, and gather feedback.
- Conduct regular site visits and business reviews to strengthen trust and ensure exceptional client service and delivery excellence.
- Lead the capture process for high-value water/wastewater pursuits, including proposal strategy, win themes, and presentations.
- Partner with teams to cross-sell services across ARRO’s portfolio.
- Identify new markets, services, and innovation opportunities to expand ARRO’s footprint.
- Participate in industry associations and conferences to enhance ARRO’s profile and network.
- Develop and execute account growth plans aligned with company growth objectives.
- Make informed GO/NO-GO recommendations in accordance with established Company policies and procedures on Requests for Proposal or Qualifications.
- Maintain an accurate, current pipeline in the CRM system.
- Resolve escalated client, teaming partner or subconsultant issues quickly and constructively to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Lead contract negotiations ensuring alignment with ARRO’s risk management and profitability objectives.
- Work with technical and project management teams to deliver on client commitments.
- Mentor and develop ARRO’s next generation of leaders.
- Contribute to client management team to help shape firm-wide client engagement strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or related field.
- Registered as a licensed professional or certified in a specialty discipline (preferred but not required).
- 15 years in engineering/project delivery.
- 10 years in team client management and leadership.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities across clients to meet business objectives.
- Previous experience in business development, assisting with the proposal process and presenting to/meeting with clients strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and team-building skills.
- Proven track record growing key water/wastewater accounts and winning strategic pursuits.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges and finding solutions.
- Proficiency is using client relationship management tools and software and data-driven decision making.
- Excellent networking, team building, and written/oral communication skills
