ARRO Consulting is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer I to support our engineering teams with design, documentation, and project coordination. Key Responsibilities:
- Design Support: Prepare design documents, drawings, and details from verbal instructions while assisting with design calculations and specifications.
- Cost Estimation: Help develop opinions of probable construction costs by gathering pricing information from suppliers and catalogs.
- Field Investigations: Perform site visits to inventory existing conditions and assist with construction observations and documentation.
- Drawing & Code Reviews: Review design drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with municipal codes and ordinances.
- Permitting & Reports: Assist with preparing permit applications, specifications, and engineering reports by gathering and formatting technical information.
- Data Collection & Documentation: Compile and summarize published information, utility maps, and topographical data while maintaining accurate project files.
- Collaboration & Client Support: Work as part of a project team to meet deadlines and budgets, while supporting project managers and maintaining positive client relations.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Knowledge of basic engineering design and construction principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with adaptability to changing priorities
Location:
This position requires regular presence in an ARRO Consulting office. Remote work may occasionally be permitted under special circumstances, with prior supervisor approval.

Schedule:

License/Certification:
- Driver’s License (Preferred)
- Engineer in Training (EIT) (Preferred)
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with creating an engineering plan for land development based on their calculations and any research conducted. They should have experience with AutoCAD and be able to utilize strong design skills in order to create visual aids. By utilizing strong organizational and communication skills, this candidate will also have the ability to execute a project based on the criteria outlined.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 1 - 3 years of civil engineering experience related to site design, land development and land use permitting
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills and design skills
