Quality Inspector
2nd Shift: 2pm-10pm - Monday - Friday (Saturday OT availability)
Job Summary
The Quality Inspector will be called on to support a quality system that meets our stringent requirements as you oversee inspecting and testing of materials, components, and sub-assemblies. You will also be responsible for the documentation, segregation, and control of non-conforming material as well as escalating issues when necessary. This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours.

Quality Inspector

Job Summary
The Quality Inspector will be called on to support a quality system that meets our stringent requirements as you oversee inspecting and testing of materials, components, and sub-assemblies. You will also be responsible for the documentation, segregation, and control of non-conforming material as well as escalating issues when necessary. This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate, timely disbursement of all receiving inspection information.
- Report non-conformances in SAP system for distribution to the rest of the company.
- Control non-conforming areas, including documentation and participation in MRB.
- Perform first article inspections for new parts and suppliers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Perform PPAP/ISIR inspections for new parts and suppliers.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience as a quality technician in a standardized environment (e.g., ISO9001, AS9100, IATF16949)
- 2 years hands on experience with quality concepts and quality processes including:
- Six Sigma basics & lean concepts
- Continuous improvement techniques
- Interpreting quality information and data
- Applying and communicating quality audit types and their components, tools, and techniques
- Use of measurement and test equipment including identifying and segregating nonconforming material and calibration standards hierarchy and traceability
- Reading and interpret blueprints and control chart results, process capability, and specification limits.
- Statistical terminology and techniques
- Material review process.
- Certification as an American Society for Quality CQT
