Quality technician

Summary:

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring quality materials and products are being received and used in production while ensuring processes and procedures are documented, maintained, and audited.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of duties to determine that materials, products and/or processes are in accordance with specifications and requirements, including audits, inspections, and analysis of quality data.
• Facilitate disposition of non-conforming material, perform containment, and conduct root cause analysis.
• Perform inspections of product using inspection devices.
• Record and retain non-conformance reports in the quality records database.
• Work cross-functionally to develop short-term and permanent corrective actions by participating in review of standards, procedures, tools, and processes.
• Review and maintain control plans.
• Work with a cross functional team to create PPAP submissions based on customer requirements.
• Review, write, and update work instructions.
• As part of the AROW Global team you will need to understand the AROW Business System policy and objectives and how you affect conformance to them.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree and/or 3-5 years of experience related to quality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience in reading production drawings and bill of materials.
• Understanding of root cause analysis and problem-solving methodology.
• Understanding of measuring equipment. Familiar with a FARO measuring arm is preferred.
