We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Technician at our Manufacturing Plant in Appleton, WI.
NIGHT DAY ROTATING SHIFT HOURS
6am - 6pm/ 6pm - 6am
(12 Hour Shift)
The Quality Technician supports manufacturing quality by monitoring product and process performance, conducting inspections and testing, analyzing quality data, and identifying conditions that may affect product conformance. This position provides timely quality information to production leadership and cross-functional teams, supports investigation and corrective action activities, and contributes to continuous improvement efforts. The Quality Technician works within established quality, food safety, and manufacturing requirements and uses statistical analysis to identify trends, improve process capability, reduce waste, and support consistent product quality.

Quality Inspection and Testing
- Perform routine product inspections and quality testing throughout the manufacturing process.
- Perform hourly product inspections and quality checks according to Product Quality Plans and inspection procedures.
- Conduct testing using established quality methods and accurately document inspection results.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality specifications and product standards.
Quality Data and Analysis
- Analyze quality data to identify trends, investigate issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) data and identify trends requiring corrective action.
- Utilize quality tools including control charts, histograms, process capability analysis, and other statistical methods.
Documentation and Communication
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
- Maintain complete and accurate inspection records, quality reports, and testing documentation.
- Communicate quality concerns promptly to production leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Communicate quality issues and nonconforming conditions to Rapid Responders, Team Leaders, Shift Leaders, Process Leaders, and Quality Management.
Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement
- Assist with investigations into product quality issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, process capability, and waste reduction.
- Support audits, process improvements, and quality initiatives as assigned.
Quality and Food Safety Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety standards, and company quality procedures.

Education/Experience
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Working knowledge of quality inspection methods and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and quality systems.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles.
- Ability to apply basic statistical techniques, including control charts, histograms, and process capability analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
