Position Overview – Electrical Designer
The Electrical Designer will support projects involving the design of electrical distribution systems, lighting (interior and exterior), and emergency backup systems. This role works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality design and construction solutions.
This position reports to the Electrical Practice Lead and assigned Project Managers.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Serve as Electrical Designer on projects with electrical design scope
- Assist in design development, including preparation of drawings and specifications
- Coordinate designs with mechanical and plumbing disciplines
- Provide support during construction phases, including advisory input
- Conduct site surveys as needed
- Support project scheduling and production to ensure timely, on-budget delivery
- Maintain high-quality standards for all deliverables
- Participate in internal and external project meetings
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Electrical Practice Lead
- Support cross-functional business needs when required
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience with (or ability to learn within 4 months): AGI32 or Visual
- Knowledge of applicable electrical codes (or ability to quickly develop proficiency)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety and quality
- Strong written and verbal English skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams
Education & Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field
- 5–10 years of relevant technical experience with increasing responsibility
Additional Requirements
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks
- Ability to meet site-specific security requirements (including DHS assessments, if applicable)

Salary : $90,000 - $95,000
