Job Title          Press Operator

Overview:       Operate injection molding machine to produce plastic products                                            

Requirements:

·         High School Diploma or GED preferred

·         Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

·         Able to operate hand-held tools, including trimming knife, de-burring tool, jigs and fixtures

·         Good communication and teamwork skills

·         Maintain safe work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) 

Responsibilities:

·         Operate assigned plastic injection molding machines.

·         Read, understand, and perform the processes stated in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

·         Review press samples to understand and be able to identify conforming or non-conforming product.

·         Complete the initial Quality inspection of the product being produced and determine if it is conforming or non-conforming product.

·         Communicate immediately with supervisor and/or quality control when non-conforming product is identified.

·         Inspect, trim, clean, and package products to customers' specifications.

·         Accurately record scrap and rejects on production data entry sheet.

·         Prepare, tape, and tare weigh boxes.

·         Ensure workstation is clean and orderly.

·         Adhere to attendance policy and break schedule.

·         Any other duties as assigned
