Job Title Material Handler
Overview: Transport necessary raw materials to keep injection molding machine hoppers full of prepared resin.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED preferred.
· Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
· Able to operate hand-held tools, including trimming knife, de-burring tool, jigs and fixtures.
· Able to operate forklift.
· Requires ability to frequently lift 50 pounds.
· Good communication and teamwork skills
· Maintain safe work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
· Prefer prior plastic injection molding or manufacturing experience.
Material Handler Responsibilities:
· Correctly capture materials data, using barcode scanners and allocation module in ERP system.
· Complete allocation location reconciliation as often as possible, as each job is completed.
· Ensure all injection molding machine hoppers and barrels are full of correct, prepared resin.
· Operate forklift to transport raw resins.
· Demonstrate timely, effective communication with other team members to ensure efficient start-up and shut-down of production runs.
· Keep warehouse organized and clean of spilled resin during the shift.
· Clean up any resin spills in work areas that occur while loading material into the hoppers.
· Maintain, store, and organize all material by lot number.
· Clean hopper, press, dryers, grinder, filters, and loaders after a production run, using proper equipment.
· Assist production supervisor in giving breaks to Operators as needed.
· Adhere to attendance policy and break schedule.
· Any other duties as assigned.
