Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Intensive Care Unit (ICU) | 13 Weeks | Utica, NY

Location: Utica, New York

Facility: Wynn Hospital (ICU)

Pay Range: $70-$74/hr on W2

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Nights (6:30 PM 7:00 AM)

Schedule: 36 Guaranteed Hours/Week

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for a 13-week ICU travel contract at MVHS Inc. in Utica, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience and the ability to work in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to ICU patients across multiple specialties
• Monitor and manage patients with complex conditions including cardiac, neuro, trauma, and respiratory cases
• Operate advanced ICU equipment including CRRT (Prismaflex/NxStage), IABP, and ventilators
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care using Epic EMR
• Float to other units as required (excluding Behavioral and ER unless holding)

• Total Beds: 42
• Neuro/Med: 22
• CTICU: 6
• Surgical/Trauma: 14
• Common Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, CHF, Post-STEMI, Trauma, Post-Op Surgical Cases
• Specialty Equipment: IABP, CRRT, Ventriculostomy, ICP Monitoring, TTM (Arctic Sun)
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years ICU experience REQUIRED (4 5 years preferred)
• Experience in ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU
• Travel experience REQUIRED
• Active NY RN License (and all active RN licenses verified via NURSYS)
• Certifications required:
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NIHSS
• Experience with Epic EMR REQUIRED
• Must have experience with CRRT and Prismaflex
• Cardiac/heart experience is highly preferred
