About the Role:
We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our radiology team. In this role, you'll assist radiologists with angiographic and other specialized procedures, while also performing the full scope of duties expected of a radiologic technologist. Key Responsibilities:
Perform all duties of a radiologic technologist.
Assist radiologists during interventional procedures such as angiography, including managing instruments like catheters, guidewires, and needles.
Prepare patients for specialized procedures with care and professionalism.
Mix and administer contrast media as appropriate for each exam.
Maintain a sterile field and prepare trays for procedures.
Set up injection rates, imaging programs, and exposure sequences based on radiologist instructions.
Take on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis.
Demonstrate a commitment to quality and continuous improvement by participating in Quality in Action initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License
ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of radiologic technologist experience required
CPR Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
Physical Requirements:
Frequent walking or standing (90% of the time)
Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs for patient positioning and transport
Must be able to push beds, stretchers, and mobile imaging equipment
Exposure Risk:
Category I: This position involves potential exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.
