Key Responsibilities:
· Design steel-framed structures, including member sizing, connections, and anchorage.
· Prepare detailed structural calculation sets for review by a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
· Perform preliminary foundation design and sizing, as well as anchor bolt sizing and related calculations.
· Apply industry-accepted engineering methodologies and best practices to ensure compliance with relevant building codes and standards.
· Prepare, interpret, and review technical specifications, drawings, and documentation to ensure design intent is met.
· Understand and apply structural design criteria, including analysis and documentation of calculations.
· Design structures for canopies, modular buildings, and custom steel applications.
· Review project specifications and support in quality control of engineering deliverables.
· Collaborate with the R&D team to support the design and development of new structural products.
· Assist the estimating team by providing tools and information to support accurate project estimates.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
· Structural engineering experience in steel or modular structures preferred but not required.
· Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, EnerCalc, and Microsoft Excel.
· Solid understanding of applicable building codes related to steel structures (e.g., IBC, AISC).
· Familiarity with the properties and behaviors of steel, aluminum, and concrete.
· Experience preparing engineering design packages and calculation sets.
· Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
· Familiarity with cost estimation processes and tools.
