The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of complex industrial environments, proactively drive initiatives from requirements through delivery, and serve as a vital link between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Designs and elicits detailed business and user requirements for multiple digital initiatives, including complex system integrations involving operational technology and environmental compliance platforms.
- Develops comprehensive process flows, functional specifications, data flow diagrams, and use cases to support system design and integration efforts.
- Creates workflow diagrams, screen mockups, and maintains an organized documentation library to facilitate project clarity and knowledge sharing.
- Writes clear, testable acceptance criteria for user stories and defects, collaborating with QA teams to ensure readiness and quality.
- Conducts business process analysis, needs assessments, and cost/benefit evaluations to inform technology solutions and project prioritization.
- Drives planning, execution, and delivery of multiple digital workstreams, owning project schedules, managing risks, and resolving dependencies.
- Facilitates sprint ceremonies, including standups, backlog refinement, planning, and retrospectives, to ensure agile delivery.
- Tracks issues, risks, and dependencies, escalating and resolving them proactively to maintain project momentum.
- Acts as the primary liaison between functional business leaders and technical delivery teams, ensuring shared understanding and alignment.
- Supports 40 active data integrations across disparate source systems, understanding integration patterns and identifying potential failure points.
- Engages confidently with field operational teams, senior technology leaders, and external vendors to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Produces high-quality documentation for requirements, workflows, training materials, and process updates, maintaining a cross-referenced project library.
- Identifies potential gaps, risks, and stakeholder challenges early, communicating proactively to prevent delivery issues.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise application development, complex digital programs, or cross-product integrations.
- Demonstrated project management or Scrum Master experience, including project planning, risk management, and cross-team coordination.
- Hands-on experience developing requirements, use cases, acceptance criteria, and test documentation.
- Proven ability to bridge functional business stakeholders and technical teams in operational or OT-adjacent environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging both senior leaders and front-line teams.
- Experience working with development and QA teams throughout the full software delivery lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
- Ability to work on-site at least 4 days per week in Houston, TX.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within Fortune 1000 companies managing large, cross-functional teams across the project lifecycle.
- Familiarity with operational technology tools such as ArcGIS / ESRI, SCADA systems, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or drone data platforms.
- Experience supporting or managing data integration workstreams involving multiple source systems.
- Strong analytical skills, including data interpretation; SQL or Oracle experience is a plus.
- Agile/Scrum delivery experience, including facilitation of ceremonies and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience developing training materials or supporting organizational change management initiatives.
- Exposure to UI/UX concepts or software development practices that enhance collaboration with engineering teams.
- Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, CSPO, CSM, PSM, or PMP.
