Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role in Ocala, FL, for a Direct Care Worker. Responsibilities include assisting youth with daily activities, maintaining a clean, safe, and structured living environment, supervising and engaging with residents in positive and supportive ways, and ensuring compliance with program rules and policies. The role involves assisting with meal preparation, facilitating recreational activities, monitoring behavior, and providing crisis intervention when necessary. You will work closely with other staff to promote personal growth and safety for the residents.
Qualifications
- Experience or skills in working with at-risk youth, including crisis intervention and conflict resolution
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Organizational and time-management abilities to maintain a structured and safe environment
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon employment)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or education in social work, psychology, or a related field is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Flexible schedule to accommodate evening, weekend, or holiday shifts, as needed
- Passion for helping youth and contributing to their growth and well-being
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
