We are hiring an Operations Director to join our team in Brooklyn. The Operations Director will oversee daily operations, compliance, budgeting, and service delivery for a large non-profit Older Adult Transportation Program. This role is ideal for candidates experienced in human services, transportation operations, and community-based program management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of the Older Adult Transportation Program
- Ensure full compliance with contractual, fiscal, and reporting requirements
- Supervise staff, drivers, vendors, and volunteers
- Manage program budgets, monitor expenditures, and support funding applications
- Strengthen relationships with funders, elected officials, and community partners
- Address client, staff, and vendor concerns with professionalism
- Use data to improve service quality, safety, and operational efficiency
- Support outreach efforts to engage eligible older adults in the community
Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 2 years of management experience in transportation or human services
- Strong organizational, financial, and supervisory skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders
- Experience with non-profit operations or government-funded programs
