This associate must be experienced in operating a forklift, handling incoming and outgoing freight, and working in a cross-dock shipping facility. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move palletized freight safely and efficiently.
- Unload incoming shipments, inspect freight for damage or discrepancies, and report any issues.
- Label and prepare outgoing freight according to shipping instructions.
- Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for all incoming and outgoing shipments both through paper and electronic documentation procedures.
- Understand and utilize transport and warehouse computer systems, pallet jacks, and various hand tools.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in the warehouse and yard.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Meet and maintain all safety and compliance procedures including TSA eligibility requirements.
- Assist in general warehouse duties as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize work, multitask, and work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and be punctual.
- Ability to work extended hours, and potential weekend shifts during high operational volume and end of quarters.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a cross-dock shipping facility, loading and unloading palletized freight onto full truck loads is required.
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
- Experience using computer, pallet jack, and small hand tools.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Use of hands to handle or touch objects, tools, or controls.
- Occasionally required to walk; sit; reach above shoulders; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and use foot/feet to operate forklift.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision.
- Up to 80% of daily tasks include driving and operating a forklift.
- Fast paced work environment requires extended periods of mental focus and critical thinking.
- The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

- Occasionally loud, which may be disruptive to those with hearing sensitivity, and due to safety concerns, the use of noise canceling headphones cannot be worn.

Salary : $18 - $21
