Warehouse Associate - 2nd Shift

PURPOSE:

Under the direction of the Warehouse Team Lead, the Warehouse Associate I will handle, move, and store product by use of powered industrial trucks and manual measures for one or more functional areas to include receiving, shipping, and/or inventory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Understands, upholds, and communicates the company’s core values of acting with integrity, being passionate about the customer experience, working together and acting as a champion of productivity.
2. Conducts work using safe work-practices while following defined SOP’s.
3. Completes daily safety audits on equipment used in the shift and ensures safety procedures are followed.
4. Understands warehouse profile procedures.
5. Utilizes bar code technology and RF scanning to track inventory activities and movement.
6. Operates Powered Industrial Trucks such as motorized pallet jacks, sit-down, stand-up and reach fork trucks and order pickers to unload, retrieve, move, load, or count items relative to the functional area of responsibility.
7. Communicates with leads and supervisors to ensure coordination of warehouse activities.
8. Ensures proper safety labels are affixed to containers or packaging.
9. Meets safety, accuracy, and productivity standards.
10. May assemble product kits.

MARGINAL DUTIES:

1. Assist with general housekeeping of the warehouse area.
2. Assist other functional areas with completion of work tasks.
3. Other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Current valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to be certified for operation of Powered Industrial Vehicles.
• Effectively use RF technology and utilize computer systems as a tool of the job.
• Work independently or on a team.
• Dexterity and coordination to effectively operate equipment and perform assigned tasks.
• Good communication and time management skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch,and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. Employee must be able to work at heights up to 20 ft.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work environment includes exposure to dust and seasonal variances in temperature due to the warehouse atmosphere. Will also be regularly exposed to fragrances and odors that come from the storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment. The noise level is moderate.
