- Provide daily technical support for manufacturing equipment and processes within assigned Value Streams.
- Investigate manufacturing issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Drive resolution of issues impacting:
- Safety
- Quality
- Cost
- Productivity
- Apply Precision Maintenance principles to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Identify and execute process improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
- Design, manage, and execute capital projects from concept through implementation.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with varying scope, complexity, budgets, and timelines.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and execution plans.
- Coordinate project execution to ensure successful completion.
- Serve as a member of the Value Stream Steering Team.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary Value Stream teams to support operational success.
- Act as the primary plant representative for strategic project teams impacting the Value Stream.
- Communicate plant needs, priorities, and project issues to internal and external stakeholders.
- Work directly with vendors and suppliers to:
- Scope projects
- Obtain bids and quotations
- Place purchase orders
- Oversee installation and execution activities
- Manage contractor and supplier performance during project execution.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across engineering, operations, maintenance, and leadership teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to balance technical support responsibilities with project execution demands.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work directly on the manufacturing floor and build strong relationships with operations teams.
- Strong decision-making and continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to successfully manage vendor and contractor relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous project management experience.
- Experience developing equipment design drawings.
- Experience budgeting, estimating, and managing project costs.
- Proficiency with:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Minitab
- AutoCAD
- Inventor
- Strong technical and project leadership capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in both office and manufacturing environments.
- Willingness to travel approximately 5%.
- EIT, FE, or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Lean Manufacturing certification and/or practical Lean implementation experience.
- Experience using SAP in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using Microsoft Project.
- Strong capital project management experience.
