Occupational Therapist - Day Shift

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises OT treatment in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines. The ideal candidate will embrace the company's core values, prioritize patient and employee safety, and collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.

• Assess patient’s level of functioning based on physician orders and implement appropriate treatment plans.


• Participate in discharge planning, including patient/family education and adaptive equipment recommendations.


• Complete necessary documentation in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.


• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students in applying therapy techniques.


• Demonstrate effective communication with patients and families at their level of understanding.


• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety policies and reporting hazards promptly.


• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to enhance patient care.


• Attend team conferences and provide pertinent information for patient care.


• Complete daily progress notes and adhere to timelines for documentation.

• Valid and current state license as an Occupational Therapist.


• BLS certification required.


• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Occupational Therapy; inpatient rehab or neuro experience highly desired.

This position follows a Day Shift schedule of 5x8.0.

This is a 13-week contract position.
