Schedule
Varied shifts are scheduled as 7a-7p or 7p-7a on an 8-week scheduling cycle, which includes every other weekend and holiday coverage. The team strives to accommodate preferred shifts and may offer block scheduling based on unit needs, although this is not guaranteed. Clinicians typically do not switch between day and night shifts without a consistent schedule pattern.

Job Description
The Labor and Delivery unit supports a monthly average of 80-90 deliveries, with a mix of experienced RNs and new graduates. The role is crucial in providing patient care as the team integrates new graduate RNs into specialized OB roles.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum settings.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Support patients and families during childbirth and postpartum recovery.
- Utilize advanced monitoring techniques and respond to emergency situations as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 3 years of OB experience is preferred; candidates with less than 3 years may be considered if they have travel experience or have worked in a specialized OB setting.
- Required certifications include: BLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification.
