This is a 13-week contract position.

7 AM - 7 PM

The competent Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. The role involves providing both routine and complex nursing care, developing long-range goals and plans, and managing contingencies of clinical nursing. The nurse will also make appropriate assignments and delegations to other care providers to manage clinical situations effectively.

• Utilize the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.


• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.


• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols while monitoring for side effects.


• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.


• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.


• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred.


• BLS certification required (AHA only).


• Current RN License in the state of TX or compact.


• Current certifications in AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM).


• Current STABLE certification required from an approved course.


• Current NRP certification required.


• Current ACLS certification required (AHA only).
