Acute Care Physical Therapist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day Shift: 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)

The Acute Care Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for providing high-quality rehabilitation services to patients in a short-term acute care setting. This role requires the PT to assess patient conditions, develop and implement treatment plans, and evaluate patient progress to promote recovery and enhance mobility.

• Conduct detailed assessments of patients to determine therapy needs.


• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals.


• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patient strength, mobility, and overall function.


• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.


• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and ongoing care needs.


• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license required.


• Minimum of 1 year of experience in acute care settings preferred.


• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.


• Advanced knowledge in treating neurological and orthopedic conditions is a plus.
