About ARMS
ARMS is the premier provider of Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management Systems (RMS) for public safety agencies. Since 1988 we’ve delivered modern, reliable software that helps law enforcement, campus safety, hospitals, and private security organizations improve response times and operate more efficiently. We offer flexible licensing and subscription options that meet agencies where they are—on‑premises or in the cloud.
The Role
We’re hiring a motivated, energetic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to power our new outreach motion. You will create high‑quality first conversations through a disciplined mix of calls, emails, social touches, and mailed information packets—building trust and pipeline for our Account Executives. If you’re process‑driven, curious, and excited to help make communities safer through technology, this is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Prospect & qualify agencies and decision makers using call blocks, personalized emails, LinkedIn, and light research.
- Create multi‑touch sequences (phone, email, social, and physical mailers) to establish rapport and earn discovery meetings.
- Send outbound information packets (case studies, brochures, reference sheets) and track delivery/follow‑up.
- Book product demos and discovery calls for Account Executives; ensure clean hand‑offs with context and notes.
- Maintain clean CRM hygiene (activities, notes, contact roles, lead status) and follow our weekly cadence.
- Research territories to understand agency size, technology stack, grant cycles, and competitive landscape.
- Partner tightly with Sales & Marketing to test messages, refine ICPs, and report field feedback.
- Represent ARMS at select local events when needed.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience.
- 0–2 years in SDR/BDR, inside sales, or customer‑facing roles (SaaS or public safety a plus).
- Confident, clear communicator—comfortable on the phone and in writing—with strong active‑listening skills.
- Organized and reliable with excellent follow‑through; able to juggle multiple sequences at once.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot or Salesforce), email sequencing, and Microsoft 365/Google Workspace.
- Curious, coachable, and results‑oriented; you enjoy hitting targets and improving the playbook.
How We Work (Cadence & Targets)
- Office schedule: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday.
- Daily activity benchmarks: ~50 outbound calls, 25 personalized emails, 5–10 social touches, and 5 physical mail packets.
- Weekly goals: 10–12 qualified meetings scheduled, pipeline notes entered by Friday.
- KPIs: Meetings set, show rate, qualified opportunities, conversion to pipeline, and data quality.
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary plus commission with accelerators for over‑performance.
- Comprehensive benefits and a collaborative, supportive team.
- Training, mentorship, and clear advancement paths (AE or Marketing Operations).
- A mission that matters: help protect communities with innovative public safety software.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to public sector procurement or grant cycles.
- Experience selling B2B software to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Prior use of sales engagement tools (e.g., Outreach, SalesLoft, Apollo) and call recording/QA platforms.
