Role Overview
ARMS is seeking a driven and consultative Account Executive to join our growing sales team. In this role, you will own a defined geographic territory and be responsible for the full sales cycle — from identifying and targeting net-new accounts to negotiating and closing contracts. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role well-suited for a self-starter who thrives in a complex, multi-stakeholder selling environment and has a genuine passion for serving the public safety community.
What You'll Do
Territory & Pipeline Development
- Identify, target, and engage net-new accounts and logos that align with ARMS' Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) within your assigned geographic territory
- Build, execute, and continuously refine a territory plan to maximize revenue growth impact
- Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline to meet or exceed defined revenue and ARR targets
Full-Cycle Sales Execution
- Own opportunities from lead creation through contract closure, guiding prospective buyers through every stage of the evaluation and purchasing process
- Lead requirements gathering and documentation, software demonstrations, proposal and quote creation, and contract management
- Conduct virtual sales calls and, when needed, travel to client sites to deliver onsite presentations and product demonstrations
- Evaluate and lead RFP responses for qualified bidding opportunities, coordinating internal resources to produce competitive, compelling submissions
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving procurement teams, IT, public safety leadership, and decision-makers common to public sector organizations
- Attend industry events and tradeshows to build relationships, generate pipeline, and represent the ARMS brand
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing and SDR teams to effectively transition inbound leads into active sales opportunities
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Client Success teams to align on customer needs and support revenue expansion efforts
CRM & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date opportunity records in HubSpot to reflect current deal activity, stage, and revenue forecasting
What You'll Bring
- 5 years of demonstrable success selling SaaS and/or technology solutions, with direct experience selling to public sector organizations (municipalities, counties, or similar government entities)
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from initial discovery through contract execution • Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and ARR targets
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to clearly articulate product value and ROI to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) and standard sales productivity tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating proposals, responding to RFPs, and delivering executive-level presentations
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, onsite presentations, and industry events
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience selling into public safety organizations — law enforcement, corrections, jail management, or emergency management
- Background working within or alongside public safety agencies — you understand the operational challenges our customers face
- Familiarity with government procurement processes, RFP cycles, and public sector contract structures
