Responsibilities
- Maintain medical records filing systems following established procedures in a correctional healthcare setting
- Ensure all medical records are complete and properly filed
- Receive, log, and process requests for patient medical information according to departmental protocols on release of information
- Retrieve medical records for clinical and ancillary services
- Fax medical information to approved sites and sources for continuing care
- Purge medical records, make new patient folders, and prepare mailings as required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of medical records experience
- Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen
