Correctional Psychiatrist

PRN Psychiatrist | 4 Hours/Week | Flexible Schedule

Armor Health is seeking a PRN Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric care to patients at Blair County Jail. This is a part-time opportunity requiring approximately 4 hours per week, making it an excellent option for a psychiatrist seeking a flexible clinical commitment.

What You'll Do

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assess patients' mental health and treatment needs.
• Diagnose psychiatric conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Manage and monitor psychotropic medications and adjust treatment as clinically indicated.
• Communicate treatment recommendations and medication orders with nursing staff.
• Provide psychiatric consultation and clinical guidance to the healthcare team.
• Participate in case disposition and discharge/follow-up planning.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Evaluate and certify patients for inpatient psychiatric hospitalization or acute psychiatric care when clinically appropriate.
• Provide psychiatric evaluations and documentation as required by the courts.
• Participate in staff education and clinical consultation as appropriate.

What We're Looking For

• M.D. or D.O. licensed to practice in Pennsylvania.
• Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• At least one year of clinical experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to quality patient care.
