Job Description
Armel Electronics is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business growth within the aerospace and defense markets. This role is ideal for a proven sales professional with established industry relationships who can quickly generate and close qualified opportunities.
This is a 1099 contractor role offering a negotiable base rate plus commission on all new business secured. Pay range reflects total possible compensation - Base pay (BOE) Commissions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain profitable, long-term customer relationships
- Leverage an existing network of aerospace and defense contacts to generate new business opportunities
- Identify, pursue, and close new programs, RFQs, and long-term production opportunities
- Promote new business initiatives and implement strategies to drive repeat business
- Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals for military and commercial programs
- Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, and engineering teams to support quoting, product positioning, and customer engagement
- Provide weekly and monthly progress reports and sales forecasts to leadership
- Meet or exceed new business development and revenue growth objectives
Qualifications
- Existing contacts within the aerospace and defense industry
- Proven track record selling manufactured or engineered components
- Strong understanding of aerospace and defense procurement and sales cycles
- Demonstrated ability to independently develop and close new business
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with a creative, entrepreneurial mindset
- Leadership-oriented with a strong desire to win and grow new accounts
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation
Compensation
- 1099 contractor
- Base rate negotiable
- Commission on all new sales and programs won
- Flexible schedule with high earning potential tied directly to performance
Pay: $100,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
